Black Box Racing: Saturday Early Price Grab
Not a ratings bet, although he does show up well on the ratings, but TEDLEY 3.45 Newbury (Saturday) simply has to be backed at 40-1. With final decs through and a tasty field, we’re getting a huge price about ‘Twister’s’ runner. Ignore the last run over 2m behind L’Eau Du Sud, when never put in the race, and instead concentrate on his 5th at Ascot the time before that. In that run he got hampered at the 13th fence and then made a mistake not long after, that should have put paid to his chances. But this fella kept finding and despite being short of room , stayed on to be 5th beaten 7.75L. With a more luck he would have got a hell of a lot closer and amazingly he’s been dropped a pound for that run. More importantly, this fella is only a 6yo and will be learning with each run and with that will come improvement. He stays this trip well and I’m convinced the longer straight at Newbury will suit him far better than the ‘bend and then sprint short straight’ at Ascot. This horse will be less than half the price come race time and an ew position is advised.
